How and When To Upgrade the CS700 To CS750

CS700 -> CS750 Upgrade length

How long are the upgrades to CS750 taking on average?  Mine was scheduled for Monday 6/8 and I am on the east coast so I figure the shipping back is at least 5-7 business days.  Is that what others have seen?

I want to have my CS700 upgraded to the CS750. The question I have is should I send it in now or wait? Does the CS750 have all the features proposed or is the firmware not up to snuff?

Oh, the other factor to consider is that further firmware updates will be self service, just like they are now for the 700.

Answer ::

We are behind schedule because of unexpected problems at the beginning. How hard can it be to replace a memory chip? Then after doing that the manufacturer told us we should also replace three resistors. These resistors are so small you need a microscope to work on them.
To do the job right we spent about $6,000 getting the best soldering and unsoldering equipment as well as getting a microscope you could use for soldering and unsoldering parts that are too small to change with the naked eye.

It took us about two weeks to finally perfect the method needed to do this right. That included the time to get the resistors that was unexpected and buying the proper equipment and working out the details so the change works every time.
That put us two weeks behind schedule. We are now doing between 5 - 8 per day and we are at RMA #70. We will eventually catch up because we planned on doing five a day.
